    Sample Text Messages 
The textSAT weekly schedule is carefully designed to cover material that will help you score higher on the Critical Reading, Math and Essay sections of the SAT. 

Below is the weekly schedule with sample texts.


  SUNDAY                                 :-) 

 

Sunday is Vocabulary Word 1 Day.  You will be introduced to the first word of the week and will be provided with its definition and part of speech.  For clear comprehension and as a memory device, there will always be a lively sentence containing the word written by a professional writer.  The first word of the week will always be a beginner level SAT word.

  MONDAY                                ;-) 

Monday is Critical Reading and Essay Day.  You'll receive a lesson, strategy or tip that will assist you in these test areas.  If the text is specific to one type of question (for example, sentence completion or passage based reading) or test section (for example, essay), textSAT will include the question type or test section in CAPITAL LETTERS. This will clarify the tip and will give you a strong “knowing your way around the test” feeling of confidence.

  TUESDAY                             :-D 

Tuesday is Vocabulary Word 2 Day.  You will receive the second word of the week.  This word will always be an intermediate level SAT word.

  WEDNESDAY                        :-]  

Wednesday is Math Day.  You'll receive an appropriate lesson, strategy or tip.  If the text message pertains to a particular type of question, for example, multiple choice or grid-in, the question type will be posted in CAPITAL LETTERS.

« MATH - Memorize order of operations! Use the word PEMDAS 2 help u.  The letters stand 4: Parentheses, Exponents, Multiply, Divide, Add, Subtract.
 

  THURSDAY                           :->  

Thursday is Vocabulary Word 3 Day.  You will receive the third word of the week.  This word will always be an advanced level SAT word.

« recalcitrant [adj] resistant, stubborn: No anti-pimple cream was strong enough to banish the RECALCITRANT pimple from its post on Sam's nose!
 

  FRIDAY                                  8-)  

Friday is Root Word Day.  You'll receive a root word, its meaning, and several examples of words, along with short definitions, that contain the root.

« The root word LUC means light - ELUCIDATE: 2 explain/throw light on, LUCID:easily understood, TRANSLUCENT: allowing light through.

Saturday is Review Day.  This text message will go over the tips from the previous week.
